The Envoy was built in 1929 by renowned architect Carl Linde and was the former residence of Fred Meyer. Converted in 2005 to condominiums by Reliance Development the Envoy is a Mediterranean style building with a distinctive pink exterior, which is original to the building. It has 41 units and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Both Portland and the state of Oregon recognize it as a historic landmark.
